The Role

This role will be responsible for the development of new business within our Corporate sector.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Business development with new corporate customers – activities to include:
  • Identification of additional customers and potential routes to market in line with the Kura Sales and Marketing strategy
  • Office and field-based pursuit of the more complex customer journeys
  • Selling Kura product and services, namely technology-enabled staff shuttle solutions
  • CRM administration (customer data maintenance)
  • Contract administration including associated documents for the tender process
  • Creation of bespoke contracts that are also viable for our coach operators partners
  • Provision of product demos remotely and on-site as needed

Marketing activities to include:

  • Support on campaign design, focus and implementation
  • Proactive and regular reviews of marketing activity in terms of effectiveness and impact

Internal liaison with the Operations Team – activities to include:

  • The provision of high-quality implementation briefs to Projects & Implementation, Service Delivery and Operator Engagement
  • Ongoing support for query resolution and operator communication as appropriate

Any other duties as required from time to time

The Person

Our ideal candidate is a graduate who has 7-10 year’s experience of working with corporate customers ideally in the transport industry. Proven experience of B2B business development is essential as well as the ability to influence decision making at C level as well as business users and buyers. This role involves the management of one BDM Executive (with likely expansion as the role develops) so people management experience is required.

This is a hands-on role and would suit a Sales Manager/Business Development Manager/Regional Manager from a transport solutions provider looking for their first Head of Sales position in a growing company.
