1. How can I get started?
Once you complete the Essential sign-up form, we’ll verify your details. This is a simple check to ensure the details for your school are all present and correct. Shortly after you’ll receive your unique login email (from [email protected]) and “Getting started” guide.
2. What do I need to have already?
You’ll need some knowledge of your routes to begin set-up. The driver app will work on most modern smartphones so you shouldn’t need any new hardware to upgrade safeguarding on your transport service, you can find our recommended phone specs here.
3. Is it really for free?
We believe there should be a higher standard in school run safeguarding so our Essential plan is free, forever! It gives you all the tools you need to enhance safeguarding on your transport service. If you find you need more features you can upgrade to our paid plans, but you can also choose to make use of the free plan for as long as you want!
4. How can parents track our vehicles?
Our Connect and Unify plans all include access to the Kura observer app which allows parents to track their child’s journeys, receive live journey updates and manage bookings. If you are also looking to outsource your vehicle and driver provision or procurement see our Monitored Services page.
5. How will you secure my data?
You remain in control of your data. The data processed by the Kura system is in line with UK GDPR and data protection laws and subject to our data protection policy, available here. Any data held on the driver app is wiped as soon as the journey ends. Kura are proud to be Cyber Essentials Plus certified.
