Kura achieves Cyber Essentials Plus accreditation as it reinforces security’s position at the top of the agenda
Because of the sectors we work in, we are more aware than most of the need for robust security surrounding our customers and end user data.
In support of the ongoing cyber security training being carried out across the business we have now successfully achieved Cyber Essentials plus accreditation – the only UK Government endorsed cyber-security standard.
Cyber Essentials Plus is accredited against five essential technical controls: Firewall configuration and deployment, device and software configuration, User access control, malware protection and device and software updates. The organisation is independently audited against each of these to gain certification.
Kura CTO, Shaun Gabriel, said, “I’m pleased to be able to announce our Cyber Essentials Plus accreditation. It’s a signifier of the work we’re putting in – often behind the scenes – to ensure we have robust data security measures that surpass the expectations of our customers and users. With our weekly cyber-security awareness and best-practice training we are dedicated to ensuring the highest quality security is in place, both technically and via enhanced processes.”
The accreditation is further proof of the Kura vision to provide Safer, Greener, Smarter travel for both schools and businesses and is another tool to promote trust with their existing and new customers – as well as the thousands of students and staff traveling on their services each day.
