Kura received exciting news on 3rd November – our free safeguarding solution for school transport, Kura Essential, was awarded the Gold prize by the judging panel in routeone magazine’s Innovation Challenge for 2023. This recognition is a testament to Kura’s commitment to pushing boundaries, driving innovation, and making a lasting impact in the industry.
Kura believes in improving safeguarding on student transport, and that school and operator budgets shouldn’t be a barrier. So, earlier this year, we launched Kura Essential – the free home-to-school software technology.

The routeone Innovation Challenge highlighted the most significant new initiatives shaping the coach and bus sector this year, a real showcase of future trends designed to drive coach and minibus operators forward into 2024, and help them meet their ever demanding customer needs.
Kura was one of eleven companies pitching their innovation to a panel of Judges with a strong field showcasing a variety of solutions.
Alongside Kura, Parksafe won Gold in the Operators’ Choice Award, with their Low Bridge Detection System (LBDS), which was based on magazine subscriber votes. Congratulations to them along with the other nine companies shortlisted.
